Hospitality ventilation hygiene that supports operations
Hospitality venues live and die by guest experience, food quality and operational uptime. The ventilation and extract system is invisible to the customer when it works and very visible the moment it does not — odours in the dining room, condensation in service corridors, repeated filter changes that never quite fix the issue, or an insurance question after an incident.
Our role is to keep the system honest. We clean, inspect and document the extract chain so that the operations team, the FM provider and the insurer all have the same picture of system condition.
Kitchen extract systems
Commercial kitchen extract is the highest-fouling ventilation environment in any building. Grease and particulate accumulate on canopies, in plenums and right through horizontal and vertical ductwork to the extract fan and discharge. Our extraction duct cleaning service addresses the whole system rather than just the visible parts, and reports on the post-clean condition section by section.
Grease build-up and fire-risk considerations
Grease build-up inside extract ductwork is a recognised fire-risk concern for hospitality operators, insurers and risk managers. A clean extract system reduces the available fuel load inside the ductwork and gives the operator clear evidence of the cleanliness condition at the time of cleaning. Our grease build-up in extract systems and ventilation fire-risk cleaning pages set out the supporting hygiene context. The legal and insurance position remains the responsibility of the operator and their insurer, but a documented hygiene record is a key piece of evidence in any such conversation.
Restaurants, hotels and multi-site operators
We work with independent restaurants, hotel groups, pub estates, contract caterers and QSR operators. For multi-site clients we deliver a rolling programme of overnight visits with consistent reporting, allowing the operator and FM team to track hygiene condition across the estate in a single view, rather than chasing individual venues.
Access, cleaning records and inspection evidence
Every visit is documented. We photograph access points before opening, capture the internal condition of each section, photograph post-clean condition and produce a written report referencing TR19 Grease. Where access is missing or undersized, we record it and recommend access point installation rather than papering over it. This is the evidence pack that operators rely on at insurance renewal and during landlord or brand audits.
Out-of-hours delivery
Kitchen extract cleaning is almost always delivered overnight or during scheduled closure windows. We plan visits around service times, agree key holding and isolation procedures with the venue in advance, and aim to leave the kitchen ready for the next service with no operational impact.
